Hello! So with 38 days of school left, I've decided to take some time and get out blog up and running! Please take sometime and explore somethings around the blog! We have learned so much this year! We started out from different schools from all over. We worked really hard to become
Maplewood Mustangs...AND: Mission Accomplished! Our classroom is a place of learning and intrigue. So far this year we have learned:
Literacy: We are readers! We are learning to not only decode words, but different strategies to understand what we have read.
Writing: We just finished expository writing. We wrote reports on every animal possible. Our favorites included zebras, penguins, dolphins, and lions! Prior to that we wrote letters to our friends, family, and even Pizza Hut! We are moving onto creative writing. Whew! It's tough, but we will come out of it with some fabulous stories. Math: Talk about mathematicians! We can add. We can subtract. We can even multiply! Right now we are learning about money and counting change. Check out the pictures...Mrs.
Ceretto gave us ads and we had to fill out her grocery list and let her know how much money she needed to send with us to the store. It was fun!
Science: We have studied Insects and Weather. We are starting Solids and Liquids next. Mrs.
